Rephrasing my vintage prescription sunglasses Question, is there any way to use the same pink GLASS in them?
Sorry I wasn't clear enough last time, for those who tried to help me! What I really wanted to know was if there's any way to re-use the vintage pink prescription GLASS inside the vintage frames. That way I get the old frames PLUS the beautiful vintage pink glass! Can they be ground to have no "prescription" in them? Hope I don't sound too dumb, I really have no idea what is possible! The prescription glass in them is a lovely rose pink with some kind of special filter that really cuts the glare - so having them be made into "regular" sunglasses would be so nice! Thanks to everyone who tried to help me on the last question

No they cannot use the old glass, but you can however have new pink tinted glass put in with your new perscription. i have a pair that i had pink tint put on when they were perscribed and it only cost me about $10 more. I adore them, they are so cute!
No, the lenses can’t be reused, But the lab should be able to match the tint so you can have the same color, they may also be able to give you a back side AR coating.
You say the frame is vintage.. it’s a strong possibility that the frame has become too brittle for new lenses to be put in it… I’d hate to see you take them in only to get them back broken.
