get some cool frames that snap on those gnarly spectacles or get some prescription shades from an optometrist

    get some contacts

  3. As a fellow spectacle wearer I understand the dilema you are facing. The obvious answer would be contacts. Seeing as you probably know this and you are still asking the question, contacts probably aren’t an option for you. If they are, then problem solved right?

Another option would be to get clip-on sunglasses. These sound kind of dorky, and they are kind of dorky. They work well for the purpose of sunglasses, but if your looking for something cool, then they are probably not the best option.

The third option would be transition lenses. These are your regular prescription lenses that change shades when you enter areas of increased light. I had these for about a year. They are nifty because you can get whatever frames you would normally get and then pick from a selection of transition colors. Mine turned purple when I went outside. My only caution for transition lenses is that they can get lose their appeal. I found that mine would transition when I didn’t want them to (like when I was inside a building, and their was a lot of natural light). But they could be a fun option.

My last suggestion is prescription sunglasses. This is probably one of the easiest ways to go. You can get all the designer labels that you would get with normal sunglasses. The only setback might be the price because you would need prescription sunglasses, as well as your regular sunglasses. On this note, it may get annoying to carry around two pairs of glasses.

Of course all of these, and more information, can be found at your optometrist. I don’t know what you have where you are, but my glasses outlet of choice is LensCrafters.

Hope this helped, and good luck!
